Liberace at Ellis Auditorium

In the early 50's Liberace had become an extremely popular entertainer due to his 15 minute TV show every afternoon. It was announced that he would appear in concert at Ellis Auditorium Feb 27, 1954, with his conductor-brother George Liberace. The demand for tickets was so great that it was decided that the two auditorium halls would be opened to the one performance for the first time in the history of the auditorium. During the first half of the show, Liberace faced one hall and during the second half of the show, he faced the other hall. After the show Liberace and his brother graciously stayed several hours to sign autographs for the long line of fans
