Bob Hope & Doris Day at Ellis Auditorium
 
 
In the 1950's, Bob Hope appeared at Ellis auditorium with the Les Brown Orchestra, which featured a very young Doris Day.The auditorium opened both halls to accommodate the demand for tickets.  Doris Day had recently signed a contract with Warner Brothers and her first picture Romance on the High Seas had not yet been released. She would become one of the biggest stars in Hollywood.
