Tennessee Williams
 
 
Thomas Lanier Williams III changed his name to Tennesse Williams after the place of his father's birth. Williams was a talented playwright whose most famous plays include: A Streetcar Named Desire, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, The Glass Menagerie,The Night of the Iguana, and The Rose Tattoo. The play, Cairo, Shanghai, Bombay, was first performed in 1935 at 1780 Glenview, Memphis.
